Biography

I have two darling monsters and a husband who supports my every “I’ve got an idea” proposal. I am always shooting my arm up with an idea – he listens, he supports, he is simply the best.

From an extremely early age I had an interest in all thing’s pregnancy and baby – there is something amazing about how life is created, formed, born, grows and develops that keeps me intrigued and wanting to learn more.

I have a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years, I then went on to university and obtained my Bachelor of science honours degree in Children’s Nursing. Once qualified, I worked on the High Dependency Neonatal Cardiac ward at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and when I was not on shift there, I would work at Acorns Children’s Hospice with the most incredible babies, children and families.

I started to grow my first boy monster munch in the UK then off I popped to Germany, me, my bump and two suitcases where after 3 months of arriving, I laboured in silence, I gave birth to him in silence and I took him home to silence.

I was craving English at the beginning and found it difficult trying to find places in Stuttgart to take my baby boy where English was the predominant language. Why would it be easy? I’m in Germany!  Fast forward a couple of years, a few completed German language courses, I became a certified baby massage instructor, a mama for the second time to a baby girl monster munch, a Newborn Nurture Instructor and finally a Hypnobirthing Instructor.

Due to my experiences of being pregnant in a foreign country and not knowing the system I decided that no mother should labour in silence, give birth in silence, or take their baby home to silence the feeling of isolation and zero support was unbearable. I want to help empower women in an unfamiliar setting a foreign country to have the birth they know they can have and to feel mightily empowered too. To birth is incredible and to do it in a new country, surrounded by a foreign language is just amazing.

I love everything about birth. I feel it is one of the most sensational, powerful, life changing, life events that can happen, the feeling of pregnancy, labour and birth is truly indescribable and such a blessing and I want this to be felt in every woman and in every birth.”

“May you Know your Birth and may your Birth be Marked permanently with empowerment and positivity” – Josette.
