Hi there!

I’m Sarah, I’m married to Mark and I’m a Mum of 3 little monsters from Ickenham in North West London. I’m a primary school teacher and now also a hypnobirthing instructor!

I’m a relatively recent convert to hypnobirthing, having explored it during my third pregnancy and immediately falling in love with it!

I loved being pregnant and knew that my third would be my last baby so wanted to make the most of every minute. I wanted to make my last pregnancy memorable and really special by focusing on and looking after myself, and working towards my ideal birth.

However, small bumps in the pregnancy road began to make me feel anxious and the prospect of birth began to feeling daunting.

Hypnobirthing however changed all that.

It made me feel empowered, calm and in control, and I couldn’t believe there was so much birth ‘stuff’ I just didn’t know even though I’d been through it all twice before!

Although my birth didn’t exactly go as planned (babies tend to just do what they want really!), using the tools I’d learnt, I had an amazingly positive birth experience and felt so proud of myself. I will always remember how incredible I felt holding my baby in my arms for the first time and feeling such an overwhelming sense of achievement.

Once I’d had my baby, I raved about hypnobirthing to anyone who’d sit still long enough to listen. Until suddenly one day, I realised I wanted to take this one step further – I wanted to teach and really do my bit to spread the word!

For me, the thing I love the most about The Calm Birth School is that you can literally have any birth you want. Its not anti-inducrion, anti pain-relief or anti anything actually! It’s all about birth education, preparation and feeling in control to have the best possible birth experience for YOU, whatever that looks like.
