Biography

Hi My name is Eleanor Fowler (most people call me Els). I live on the Bucks/Oxon border, with my husband and 3 children (who were all hypnobirthed in 2000, 2002 & 2005). I have been working as a Doula across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire since 2007 and having supported most of my birth clients hypnobirthing, I decided to become an instructor.

I chose to train with The Calm Birth School as their approach and ethos appealed to me the most and closely aligned with my way of working. I can now provide either standalone Hypnobirthing classes or along side sessions with my birth preparation as a client wanting doula support. Whichever way it will dovetail into whatever else you are doing to prepare for birth.

 I have supported 150+ births as a doula, so whichever type of classes you choose you will get the benefit of my experience rather than a theoretical course or one which I have only used on myself.

You don’t have to want a home birth or birth centre experience! This is for you if you want to learn the skills to calm yourself quickly and easily, understand the physiology and mechanism of birth, learn techniques to assist your body’s natural ability to birth a baby (or babies). You will come away understanding how you can influence and even take control of your own birth experience, plus how to effectively make decisions surrounding birth and navigate the NHS!
For birth partners this will give you the confidence to support your birthing person, reduce stress and keep you both calm in any situation. How great is it that this will help maximise the experience for you both?

I don’t offer stuff in gift boxes, and gimmicks. I do offer to share my real life experience, practical information, proven relaxation methods and a selection of MP3s to assist your journey. I have an MP3 specifically designed for BAME, BIPOC customers, plus each client receives a copy of The Calm Birth Method Book, which all birthing people should have in their toolkit.
