So it turned out to be real and not Braxton hicks!

We loved hearing Katherine’s birth story:

Still to be named but our wee boy was born by emergency c section at3:26 this morning weighing 6lb 10 and it could not have gone any better. Change of plans to our water birth and had to be transferred around mid night to the labour ward as baby’s heart rate was not recovering well after contractions. Thanks to CBS hubby and I worked as a team and he totally controlled the situation and took care of communications allowing me to concentrate on breathing (which admittedly he had to remind me to do!).

Despite the urgency required in the operating theatre and the quick decision being made we remained calm and confident throughout and focused on baby’s arrival. It made the midwife and surgery teams job a lot easier too I’m sure. I’m sure without all the knowledge and practice from the CBS the situation would have been very different with a lot of panic. Thank you so much Suzy and Hollie for everything
